Metro Pulse reviews Matgo Primo and say hello to the Angry Gnome

I'm a bit late to the table in mentioning this, but the new, old, live Matgo Primo disc, Live & Dead, was reviewed this past week in the Halloween issue of The Metro Pulse. You can check out the article here. Thank you, Matthew Everret and The Metro Pulse for profiling our stuff!

Also, we at El Deth would like to introduce you to our friends at Angry Gnome Comics. If you're into horror and comics, you might be wise to check them out.

Matgo Primo - El Deth Halloween 2004: Dead & Live available for free download today!

El Deth Records is super proud to announce the release of Matgo Primo's El Deth Halloween 2004: Dead & Live. This album marks the five year anniversary of the material contained on it. It is a complete set from the band's younger, more raucous days, recorded at one of El Deth's equally raucous events. Of course, that was 2004. Here in 2009, it has been remixed and remastered for the listening pleasure of everyone...not just the privileged few who happened upon an early bootleg version of the show.

As we did recently with Obadiah's Rebirthday, this album will also be available to you for free, right here on the good ol' El Deth website. We fully encourage you to share this recording with your friends, review it on your blogs and pepper your mixes as you see fit. But most importantly, stick around! More good things are on the way from El Deth.

Modifi joining Cozza Frenzy Tour in Asheville this Friday!

El Deth collaborator, Modifi, has just been added to the Friday night lineup of the Cozza Frenzy Tour alongside Bassnectar and Heavyweight Dub Champion at The Orange Peel in Asheville, NC! This is very exciting news for those of us who have known Modifi for many many years and watched him evolve from a punk ass garage rock guitarist into the refined and talented turntablist and beatsmith that he is today.

If you missed his recent set with Kid Koala, here is your chance to make up for it!

Senryu remix disc leaked early

In a couple weeks, Senryu will release Laughing in Slow Motion, the sister disc to their most recent release, Dying in Fast Forward. While it will be freely available with the rest of their catalog on senryu.bandcamp.com, you don't actually have to wait that long.

El Deth affiliate, Good Music / Bad Music has posted a leak of the entire disc. Check it out here.

Laughing in Slow Motion is basically all the songs from Dying in Fast Forward, in the same order, but remixed by various artists. Said various artists that did the remixing include Alkaline, Frozen Cobra, Arrison Kirby, Little Red Lung and Agent15.

Go check it out at www.goodmusicbadmusic.com.

Senryu to release Dying in Fast Forward on September 18th

Senryu has been friends and collaborators with El Deth for a while now, so we're pleased to promote their upcoming LP, Dying in Fast Forward. And naturally, there will be a release show...

And check out "Shiver and Shine," the single from Dying in Fast Forward. It's free!

Good Music / Bad Music launched today! (Yesterday, technically)

We're proud to announce the launch of Good Music / Bad Music, an El Deth subsidiary. Basically, it's a music review site. The idea, however, is that the only music that gets reviewed sits on either end of the good and bad spectrum. No mediocrity allowed!

The site kicks off with a review of The Love Album by French artiste, Anaïs. (The album is pictured at the right).

Do check it out.

Also, if you are interested in submitting your album (or songs) for review, you can do so by emailing submissions@goodmusicbadmusic.com. AND, hit up that same email address if you are interested in becoming a contributer to the site. Be sure to include a writing sample and a list of some music that you like.
