may gray
may gray, taking root from the works of Holly Be Thy Name, began in May of 2004 under the title of Holly and the Brigadiers. By August of that year it was apparent that a recording was to ensue, documenting the project now entitled may gray. Late September, prior to B.J. Barbee's relocation to New York City, marked the start of the production. Work continued through December of 2004 with the may gray ep being released in early 2005. Due to the departure Steve Clements holds the seat on percussion. The may gray sound is not unlike some of the high and lonesome tunes of decades past. the may gray ep is:
Holly Briggs - Vocals/Martin Acoustic
Michael Crouch - Fender Telecaster Custom
Jeremy Bain - Fender Jazz Bass
B.J. Barbee - D.W. Percussion
